On the morning of October 22, 2005 Hamilton Township Fire Rescue conducted a training burn on a donated house off State Route 48. For several months prior to the training burn the house was utilized for search and rescue drills, ventilation training and various other drills. On Saturday morning crews practiced defensive operations, breeching with a piercing nozzle and utilization of foam. The department also viewed a demonstration of the Blitzfire portable master stream device. In addition to the drills, training and demonstrations, the trinaing burn provided an excellent way to show members of the department actual fire behavior and reaction. | Pumpkin Fest 2005 (9)
