Welcome to the Hamilton Township Fire Rescue web site. Our Township of 20,000 plus is located in Warren County Ohio, which is in Southwestern Ohio between Cincinnati and Dayton. We are one of the fastest growing Townships in Ohio.
We are a combination department consisting of Career, Part-time and Volunteer personnel who staff both of our stations 24-hours a day.
These are exciting and challenging times as we look to the future, and our present demands for emergency and community services, which are directly related to our rapidly growing and diversifying Township.
We will always strive to provide professional highly skilled Fire Protection, Emergency Medical Services, Fire Prevention & Inspection and Public Safety Education. Our department also offers a myriad of additional Safety and Educational Services that are outlined in detail throughout our web site.

On Wednesday December 14, 2005 around 10:00AM Engine 78 responded as a RIT team into the village of Morrow to assist with a working structure fire. Chief 76, Chief 77, and Lieutenant 76 also responded to the scene. Upon arrival the Engine 78 crew was reassigned to assist in extinguishment and overhaul. The crew of Engine 78 hooked into a nearby hydrant and proceeded inside to the room. Using a Thermal Imager the Engine 78 crew searched for hotspots and pulled ceilings in the apartment. Chief 77 assisted Morrow in the investigation as to the fire cause. No injuries were reported, and all occupants were safely evacuated. Published: December 14, 2005
 | On Wednesday, December7th at 0437 Hamilton Township Fire Rescue was alerted to a structure fire in the 10000 block of South State Route 48. Hamilton Township Engine 76, Tanker 76, Engine 77, Chief 76, and Chief 77 responded with Mutual Aid assistance from Loveland-Symmes, Deerfield Township, Harlan Township, Goshen Township and South Lebanon. Arriving units found light smoke in the basement area. Upon further investigation active fire was found in the attic of the home. Crews quickly began pulling the ceiling and quickly knocked the base of the fire down. Crews then removed smoldering insulation and extuingshed the remaining hot spots. The home sustained limited damage thanks to the good stop of the interior and exterior crews. All occupants of the home were safely evacuated. One firefighter sustained minor injuries during overhaul operations. Click below for more photos. |

 | Just before noon on Saturday, November 19, 2005 Units from Station 76 and Station 77 responded to a report of a structure fire on Cozaddale-Murdock Road. Upon arrival, crews from Engine 76 found smoke coming from around the chimney, and inside the house. The fire in the fireplace was quickly extinguished and all ash and wood was removed. Crews from Hamilton Township, along with a crew from Deerfield Township's Ladder 57 went to work removing smoldering debris from the inside of the chimney. A scan with Hamilton Township's Thermal Imaging Cameras showed that the fire had not progressed inside the house and remained confined to the chimney. Engine 76, Engine 77 and Chief 77 responded to this event. Mutual Aid crews from Deerfield, Loveland, Goshen and Harlan Township assisted at this event. No injuries were reported and only minor damage occurred at the residence. Click below for more photos. |

| On Saturday November 12, 2005 at 6:45PM, Station 76 units responded to a report of an auto accident on US 22&3 at Lakeshore Drive. On arrival Engine and Squad 76 found a single car, motor vehicle accident involving a Chevy Pickup. The vehicle has rolled over several times before coming to rest in a wooded area. Arriving crews found the vehicle's driver trpped in the pickup. Chief 76 arrived on scene and called University AirCare to the scene. Engine 77 and Squad 77 were called in to assist with the extracation. Mutual Aid was called into Morrow, Engine 71 and Chief 72 responded to setup and protect the landing zone for the helicopter. After a long extracation process, the driver was freed from the vehicle and flown to University Hospital in Cincinnati. Engine 77 and Engine 71 immediately left the scene to assist South Lebanon with a Barn fire. Click below for additional pictures. |

On Thursday, November 3rd at 2120 Hamilton Township Fire Rescue was alerted to a structure fire in the 200 block of South Wind Court. Hamilton Township Engine 76, Tanker 76, Engine 77, Chief 76, and Chief 77 responded with Mutual Aid assistance from Deerfield Township Ladder 57 and Engine 58, South Lebanon Engine 46 and Chief 46. Upon arrival units found heavy fire showing from the garage area. The crew of Engine 76 made a quick stop on the fire which was contained to the gas meter on the outside of the house. Engine 77's crew forced entry into the house and checked for fire extension and to ventilate smoke from the home. Thanks to the quick work of Engine 76 the house sustained minimal damage. | On the morning of October 22, 2005 Hamilton Township Fire Rescue conducted a training burn on a donated house off State Route 48. For several months prior to the training burn the house was utilized for search and rescue drills, ventilation training and various other drills. On Saturday morning crews practiced defensive operations, breeching with a piercing nozzle and utilization of foam. The department also viewed a demonstration of the Blitzfire portable master stream device. In addition to the drills, training and demonstrations, the trinaing burn provided an excellent way to show members of the department actual fire behavior and reaction.  | On Sunday October 23, 2005 at 12:30AM, Station 76 units responded to a report of an auto accident on State RT. 48 at River's Bend. On arrival Engine and Squad 76 found a two car motor vehicle accident involving a Chevy Pickup and a Ford Mustang. Both drivers as well as all passengers were seat belted and escaped injuries. Hamilton Township Fire Rescue has declared Sunday October 30, 2005 Change Your Clock, Change Your Battery day in Hamilton Township. The program is sponsored by the International Association of Fire Chiefs and Energizer brand batteries, the program urges you to adopt a simple lifesaving habit: Change all of your Smoke Alarm batteries when you change your clocks back to Standard Time on October 30, 2005. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reports that every year in the United States, about 3,000 people lose their lives in residential fires. Most fire victims die from inhalation of smoke and toxic gases, not as a result of burns. Most deaths and injuries occur in fires that happen at night while victims are asleep. Hamilton Township Fire Rescue reccomends you change the betteries in all your smoke detectors yearly, as well as testing the smoke alarm monthly. Read More...Published: October 22, 2005
